How to Solve One-Line Puzzles Without Revisiting a Dot

A one-line dot puzzle asks you to trace a single continuous route through all the dots, visiting each dot once. In Neuxira, you follow the visible connections between dots. The trick is not drawing faster; it is choosing a route that leaves you a way forward.

7 tips for planning your route

  1. Inspect the entire network first. Identify dots with only one connection before touching the board.
  2. Look for possible endpoints. A dot with only one connection generally needs to be the start or finish of your route.
  3. Notice forced moves. If a dot has only two connections, passing through it normally uses both, unless it is an endpoint.
  4. Avoid isolating a cluster. Before choosing an edge, check whether the remaining dots will still be reachable.
  5. Think about your final move. Work backward from a likely endpoint when the starting choice is unclear.
  6. Use intersections carefully. Crossing lines does not add a dot; only the actual nodes count.
  7. Retry with a different starting dot. A dead end can reveal which choice blocked the route.

A quick example

Imagine five dots arranged in a straight chain: A—B—C—D—E. Starting at C leaves two branches, but you cannot return to C. Starting at A or E allows a single uninterrupted route through all five dots. More complex puzzles use the same principle with extra branches.

Common mistakes

Starting at the most central dot, using a connection that cuts off the rest of the network, or assuming a visual line crossing is a dot can all end a run early. In Neuxira, a completed route must visit each dot exactly once.

Frequently asked questions

Can I visit the same dot twice?

No. Each dot must be visited exactly once in Neuxira's core puzzle.

Can the lines cross?

Yes. A crossing does not count as a new dot unless a dot is actually shown there.

Can I play before downloading?

Yes. Play the three-level web demo to learn the basic rule.

Is this the same as drawing every edge once?

No. Neuxira's core rule is about visiting each dot once. Puzzles about traversing each edge once are a different challenge.
